The
Colorado Division of Minerals & Geology works with numerous
contractors, state and federal agencies, and individuals in order
to safely close and reclaim abandoned mine lands across the state.
WIth that in mind, it needed a booklet that gave an overview of
best practices in mile land reclamation to these audiences. Not
intended to be a marketing or public-relations tool, it was factual
and to the point, organizing 52 pages of information into easy-to-understand
summaries using a refined heirarchy (below). The cover recalls a
cross-section of a mine (left).
