FOr those of you using netvibes to read the RSS feed from here, it seems that you are being tricked into seeing my last ten posts or so being marked as "new" , even if they're not. Not sure why, but I imagine it has to do with the combo of Blogger, Feedburner, and Netvibes. I am looking into it, and will hopefully fix it. Aren't the internets fun?

Big Brother, but in a nice way
I've just installed something George Orwell would love to have incorporated into 1984.
Slife is a Mac application that keeps track of what applications you are working within, as you use them. The result is a graphical timeline showing you how much time you wasted today surfing this blog, and other stuff. They just released their first version, and there's no support for my most often-used apps, like InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop, but BBEdit, OmniOutliner Pro, and others are supported, so it's sorta useful.
I plan on letting it run and track what it can, for a week or so, to see how an objective analysis of my computer usage corresponds to my own perception of things. Maybe it will actually make me more productive. Or maybe it will merely make me more ashamed of how much time I am wasting. Time will tell.
